In 1977, R.G. Wilson sold The Barbecue King Company to Standex International Corporation, further strengthening the company's position within a worldwide market. |

After manufacturing under the name The Barbecue King Company and BK Industries, in 1998, BKI consolidated with its sister company the Barbecue King Company in Reading, Berkshire (England) creating a unified, international force known as BKI-Worldwide. |
